Bikes

Kawasaki has a big heritage when it comes to racing motorcycles. Since the 1960s the factory is well-known for producing the world's most exciting and powerful road bikes. Taking these production bikes one step further has led to competing in the World Superbike and World Supersport Championships for many years now. This shows Kawasaki's ongoing commitment to the sport and its fans.
Kawasaki will continue to support its teams, its riders and Kawasaki race fans all over the world throughout the 2012 season, which will see Kawasaki and SBK compete in Russia for the first time at this level.

Ninja ZX-10R

After extensive development in the run-up to the 2011 season the all-new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R took little time to grow into its role as an SBK race bike and delivering a win at the Nürburgring. Not all manufacturers get to walk away with a race win in the first year of a new model’s life but it proved that Kawasaki’s innovative rear suspension design and other track orientated elements on the new Ninja worked at the highest level of production-derived racing.

In its second year of racing life the latest Ninja has been honed even more and technical development and evolution are now even more closely connected to the home factory in Japan, with more mid-season testing also part of the refreshed programme. Top level Showa suspension will be used once again.

Ninja ZX-6R

A new model was launched in 2009, and it was instantly recognized as a machine with a large slice of track capability built into the base road bike. Overall, in standard, non-competition setting, the new Ninja ZX-6R has proven to be a magnificent track tool and this year it has been adopted by some teams new to Kawasaki power.

This year’s new factory riders have already been impressed by the engine power and electronics package on the latest Ninja ZX-6R, and will take every possible advantage across all 13-rounds of the championship. The ZX-6R has been around in its various guises for some time now, but as the 2011 race win and many podium finishes bear out, it is as sharp and focused as ever – and improving all the time.
